Dr. Schorling has been a board-certified member of the American College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists since 2007. After obtaining her board certification, Dr. Schorling practiced in San Diego, CA for several years, followed be a few years in her home state of Louisiana. Thereafter, she established a veterinary ophthalmology relief practice, traveling the country and allowing colleagues to take leave while she cared for their clients and patients. After settling in southern Oregon for a few years, Dr. Schorling has once again taken to providing locum relief work full time for colleagues in several states.
Dr. Schorling enjoys examining and treating all species, including wildlife and exotic pets. She feels that the most rewarding aspects of veterinary ophthalmology include being able to perform procedures to restore comfort and vision to animals when they are injured or visually impaired. In addition to extraocular, corneal, glaucoma, and cataract surgeries, Dr. Schorling is dedicated to working with clients to establish medical management plans for patients with chronic ocular diseases. When she is not working, Dr. Schorling enjoys various outdoor activities, including camping, hiking, and swimming.
