Dr. Terri
McCalla
Dr. Terri McCalla received her B.S. in Animal Health Science with distinction from the University of Arizona in 1982, and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree with distinction from both Oregon State University and Washington State University (joint WOI program) in 1984. She completed a 3-year residency in Comparative Ophthalmology at the University of Missouri in 1989, and received her Master of Science degree in Veterinary Pathology in 1990. In 2001, Dr. McCalla established her private referral practice, Animal Eye Care LLC, in Bellingham Washington.
Dr. McCalla retired from practicing veterinary ophthalmology in 2019, but maintains an active interest in: nutritional supplementation and support for the eye both in health and in disease; integrative medicine; feline herpesvirus ocular disease; uveitis; orbital disease; and practice managmement.
Dr. McCalla is also a co-creator of Ocu-GLO, a veterinary antioxidant vision supplement. She enjoys the Pacific Northwest outdoors with her family.
