Biography:
Dr. Espinheira received his LMV in Veterinary Medicine from Tras-os-Montes e Alto Douro University (Vila Real, Portugal) in 2002. He completed a small animal internship at Animal Medical Centre (Manchester, UK), a surgical fellowship at Michigan State University, a small animal rotating internship at Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine and a residency in Comparative Ophthalmology at University of Wisconsin. Dr. Espinheira became board certified in Comparative Ophthalmology in 2013 and was an assistant professor in comparative ophthalmology at Louisiana State University and Cornell University-College of Veterinary Medicine for 9 years. In 2022 Dr. Espinheira moved to Australia and is currently working at Animal Referral Hospital in Sydney.
